Bishop Victor and Rosie Nieves are lead Pastors of Mercy Church of God based in Bergenfield, NJ. They have a passion for missions and travel both domestic and internationally to bring the Good News to those who have yet to hear it.
Bishop Victor and Rosie Nieves live in the Bergen County area, have six children, and five grandchildren. Bishop Nieves is also founder and CEO of Mercy Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks not only to make the name of Jesus famous in developing and disenfranchised areas of the world, but helps meet other basic needs such as clothing, hygienic supplies, nutrition, education, and medical care via charitable donations. Pastor Rosie is also the director of the Women’s Ministry at Mercy Church.

Pastors John and Wally Roca have been part of the story from the beginning. Their parents were also pioneers of Mercy Church where John and Wally grew up, learned to love Christ and each other, and now have three children who are making their own contributions to the story. Pastors John and Wally have dedicated themselves to reaching the youth within our community for Christ and are founders of the Ground Shakers Movement. They are also pastors of Mercy Church’s English congregation.
Pastor Fernando Castro has been an integral part of Mercy Church for over two decades.
Like the lead and assistant pastors, Pastor Castro also has a passion for missions and has most recently aided in the planting of a church in Colombia. He is also the director of Mercy Church’s Small Group Ministry. Pastor Castro currently lives in Bergen County with his wife Miriam, has three children, and one grandchild.
Evelyn Tapia is the administrator for Mercy Church. She has been an integral part of Mercy Church for over fifteen years. Evelyn has a passion for aiding those in need both locally and internationally. Her biggest passion is helping single moms and children in need. She currently lives in Bergen County with her two daughters.
